Trip Of A Lifetime - Cliff Jumping in Bermuda

I'm kinda late with this but I still think it's worth posting since I've probably watched it ten times since coming across it on Twitter last week. Shreddy Times was invited to Bermuda to do their thing with a local dude named Drew handling the filming and editing. I grew up on Bermuda's North Shore where jumping off rocks was a big part of growing up so this video takes me back to a much simpler time in my life. I was afraid of heights so I never jumped off of any of the big cliffs that you see in this video but I can't lie, watching them have so much fun makes me miss home a lot.

Be Glitterati Available At Fresh Goods

Big tings a gwan! Starting an apparel line has been a dream of mine for about 10 years now and thanks to some support from my family and some hard work it's finally becoming a reality. We have officially launched the Be Glitterati t-shirt line and have the first two of many designs to come for sale at Fresh Goods Sneakers and Apparel in Halifax. Here's the brand's mission statement. (For now anyway)

"Be Glitterati is a clothing brand that draws from the daily inspiration of Halifax, NS based designer and artist Duane Jones. The glitterati are described as the fashionable people of society but we apply that word to anyone on the grind and will stop at nothing to fulfill their dreams. Be Great. Be Grand. Be Glitterati."

While We're Young Poster

My latest poster design for DalTheatre. Now that I've had a chance to step back and see this poster objectively I'm not super happy with how I designed it but I love the illustration. The illustration took me way than I estimated it would but I think that it was worth it. Hopefully the patrons do too. Make sure you get out and see this play. It should be great!

DalTheatre Season 2011-12 Brochure

I had the pleasure of working on the season brochure/poster for DalTheatre again this year. The great thing about working on these projects is that I really get to push myself as an illustrator. I'm actually finding that the amount of design time I put into this work pales in comparison to the time that  goes into planning and art work creation. Shown below is the final art work and some of the process sketches that helped me to the design solution I chose.

We knew it was coming but...

There's nothing that I can say that I haven't read and heard echoed around the internet a billion times today. I'm speechless.
