The Talented Mr. Green

Mos Def
Young Buck
A few weeks ago while on my daily travels across the interweb I stumbled across a talented illustrator/designer based right in my backyard of Halifax, Nova Scotia. His name is Paul Green and he's got some great pieces in his portfolio including a campaign that he did for the Midwives of Nova Scotia. My favorite pieces are his portraits of some of todays hip hop icons. He's a recent grad of The Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University and is hungry and on his grind. Holla at him here.

Wu-Tang Album Cover Re-Mixed

There has been a lot of discussion (good and bad) regarding Logan Walter's Wu-Tang album cover re-makes. I personally think what he's done is dope and refreshing. I mean lets be real. Music aside. Most of the Wu-Tang albums were pretty crapily designed. You can peep the rest of the covers on his flickr.

Mike Jones responds to having his chain stolen

For those of you that are up on your blog game this post is a bit late. But I think that it's still worth posting. Mike Jones gets his chain stolen and responds in a way that's rarely seen in the hip hop community. Jay Smooth drops a little science and questions what jewelry's real value is in today's hip hop game. Oh and check out illdoctrine.com for more hip hop nerd goodness.
